About Sharon
Hi, I'm Sharon; author, educator, musician, and lifelong curious kid.
"I write to preserve that feeling of being deeply loved in a specific place—my birth culture. I write so that children of the Caribbean diaspora and children everywhere, can also find that feeling on the page."
Growing up in Kingston, Jamaica, surrounded by music, nature, and a family that believed learning was an adventure, I never imagined I'd one day write books I wished had existed for me as a child.

After several years of performing with the singing pop group The Emanuel Sisters, I went on to study world languages and social sciences in Jamaica, Paris, France, and Canada.

As an educator, storyteller, musician and world traveler, I find inspiration for my books from my children and the vast and diverse perspectives gained from living internationally. These experiences, along with my Caribbean childhood and decades as a world languages teacher and Montessori directress, inspire my realistic fiction stories for children—celebrating curiosity, family bonds, and the wonders of nature.

My goal as an author is to create educational and uplifting stories to inspire and bring joy to all who read them.
